Secure antenna routing

The antenna leads on most 75MHz receivers are longer than the antenna tubes that are provided with most RTRs. Extra wire sticking out of the antenna tube not only looks hack, it also exposes the antenna to damage. For a cleaner and more secure installation, cut 2mm off the open end of the rubber antenna cap, feed the antenna lead through the tube, and secure the extra wire to the outside of the antenna tube with the ring that you just cut. Then slide the endcap over the tip of the antenna.
