No-mess servo tape removal
Removing servo tape from a chassis doesn’t need to be a hassle. Instead of using your thumbs to rub it off, or making a gooey mess on your chassis with motor spray, simply apply heat to the servo tape, and it will peel right off. A hair dryer works well, but a heat gun does the job more quickly and more efficiently. Just make sure not to melt anything else while you heat up the servo-tape residue.
