Here’s another Mini-Z pit tip that works equally well on 1⁄12-scale pan cars. Polish the front suspension kingpins by chucking them into a Dremel rotary tool and spinning the kingpin at a moderate speed. Use a bit of metal polish or toothpaste on a rag, and polish the kingpin to a mirror-like shine. Then, slide the steering block onto the kingpin, and spin it some more to hone the steering block. Your kingpins will slide up and down through the steering block without any resistance whatsoever.
