Easy Pre-Install Ball Differential Check
This one’s a classic. To test the tightness of a ball differential before installing it in the gearbox, insert a pair of hex drivers into the outdrives to prevent them from turning as you attempt to turn the diff gear. It should be very difficult to slip the gear when tightness is properly set.
