If you live where it rains a lot, and you can’t avoid running through puddles, make an air-filter extension (snorkel) from a piece of 1⁄2-inch corrugated plastic pipe (found at most hardware stores), and attach it between the stock air-filter elbow and the air filter. Attach the air filter behind the front shock tower or somewhere else out of splash range, and your engine won’t stall out as a result of water sucked in through the carb.
